Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is an office drone whose life is going nowhere. After his estranged father is murdered, Wesley meets Fox (Angelina Jolie), who recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society of assassins who take their orders from Fate itself. If you're looking for something serious, this isn't the movie for you. If you're looking to see Smokin' Hot Angelina Jolie in great action scenes shot in downtown Chicago, then you'll like it. The story doesn't match the quality of director Timur Bekmanbetov's other movies (Night Watch, Day Watch), but it does have his flair for visual style.

Anybody who is disappointed by this movie was not paying attention to the previews. It is very ridiculous and very entertaining.
A spoiler can't ruin it so I'll share that the loom of fate speaks binary code. It doesn't get much sillier than that.
I will note that if you happen to be looking for some realistic special effects or any sort of ingenious plot, you must stay far away from this movie.

WoW what a movie!!! I jumped in my seat right from the beginning all the way to the end. I laughed and cryed as well. This movie was way better than I had expected. James McAvoy does a fantastic job and Angelina, well, she is always great! Can't wait for the DVD!

The loom should better making sweaters and fruits rather than tampering with fate. The premise is so underwhelming, it nearly ruin the movie for me. However, the story telling, fluid CGI and the cinematography makes it worth the money.

Enormously silly but never takes itself too seriously. The premise is crazy but the film-makers were clearly motivated by a desire to entertain, and it shows. James McAvoy is surprisingly effective; Angelina Jolie is sultry and seductive; Morgan Freeman as imposing as ever. The effects and action sequences are obviously inspired by The Matrix, but this movie doesn't make the mistake of turning it all into a video game and sabotaging the jeopardy in which the characters find themselves. Verdict: loads of violent fun! I'd see it again.

It is a cool and thrilling movie. And the graphics are amazing. It also has some of the greates actors like Angelina Jolie who plays the deadly sexy Fox and Morgan Freeman who plays Sloan the Fraternity leader and of course the handsome James McAvoy as Wesley Gibson. It has you guessing the whole time. You never know whats going to happen because it leads you on thinking about one thing but, then it changes on something totally different. The movie leaves you in question and thinking about it for days and wondering what's going to happen next?

Sure, most of the action in this movie is impossible, but that's the beauty of movies! This movie is action packed with lots of shooting, jumping, slicing, blood and bruises. And there wer e a lot of interesting ideas behind the storyline so I really enjoyed pretty much everything. I liked seeing an average Joe become something more than average!
Oh, and if you're expecting to see the graphic novel come to life, you might be very disappointed because it's almost nothing like the graphic novel.
